International Economics and Trade

Zhejiang University of Science and Technology (ZUST) is a multi-disciplinary university with emphasis on engineering, incorporating disciplines in science, arts, economics, management, and education. Combining the technical know-how of German Applied Science Universities with its own experience, ZUST explores ways of cultivating international specialists with applied skills.

Single Room: RMB 1200 /month (1-student shared), including water bill and internet bill. Electricity bills should be paid by the student themselves.
Double Room: RMB 600 /month/person (2-student shared), including water bill and internet bill. Electricity bills should be paid by students themselves.
Room Deposit: RMB 1000. It will be returned if all equipment is in good condition when students check out.

Room Contents:

Each room contains a bed, wardrobe, desk, chair, bookshelf, TV, refrigerator, air conditioner, heater, and shower. A public washing machine room and public kitchen is available for student use in the dormitory.

Approximately RMB 500 Y/month or students can opt to cook by themselves in the public kitchen.

• The accommodation on campus is not guaranteed and on a first come first service. We advise you to choose accommodation off campus, or to choose another university with accommodation.

How to book on campus accommodation:

• Register when you arrive - its not possible to reserve a room before arriving. You can arrive a few days before and book it

3 Steps to Apply to a Chinese University

1）Applicant should be aged between 18 and 35.

2）Applicant should be in good health.

3）With a high school degree or above, fresh high school graduates will be issued a pre-graduation certificate by the school they are attending.

4）Applicant should be foreign citizens. Foreign citizens of Chinese origin who are now applying to study in China as international students must have held a valid foreign passport for at least 4 years, and must have actually resided in a foreign country for at least 2 years in the past 4 years (as of April 30, 2023) (9 months of residence in a foreign country may count as a full year).

5）Applicant should have no criminal record and no drug addiction history; Applicant should be willing to abide by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China and relevant school regulations.

6）Language proficiency: Applicants for English-taught programs must provide IELTS, TOEFL or other English proficiency certificates or pass the Zhejiang University of Science and Technology Entrance English Test. IELTS scores must reach 5.5 points or above, TOEFL iBT scores must reach 80 points or above, applicants for Chinese-taught programs must provide HSK4 certificate, at least 180 points.

7）All the applicants need to take the university entrance examination or assessment.

1) Application form (Applicants must be done in the application system :( http://isam.zust.edu.cn)

2) Scanned copy of passport, scanned copies of all visa pages in China;

3) Applicant should be foreign citizens. Foreign citizens of Chinese origin who are now applying to study in China as international students must have held a valid foreign passport for at least 4 years, and must have actually resided in a foreign country for at least 2 years in the past 4 years (as of April 30, the enrollment year) (9 months of residence in a foreign country may count as a full year).

4) Scanned copy of the notarized high school graduation certificate (in Chinese or English); If the original certificate is not in English or Chinese, a notarized translation version is also required. Fresh high school graduates shall be issued a pre-graduation certificate by their school, and the high school graduation certificate must be submitted when students register;

5) Notarized transcripts including all courses in high school (in Chinese or English); If the original transcript is not in English or Chinese, a notarized translation version is also required.

6) Students applying for English-taught bachelor programs and whose native language is not English are required to provide proof of English proficiency, such as IELTS, TOEFL or other English proficiency certificates, or pass the entrance English test of Zhejiang University of Science and Technology);

7) Students applying for Chinese-taught bachelor programs are required to provide proof of Chinese proficiency for programs of science, engineering, economics, management, and art applicants should have acquired the Chinese proficiency of HSK Level 4≥180; for programs of literature and education applicants should have acquired the Chinese proficiency of HSK Level 4≥195);

8) Certificate of No Criminal Record; A statement of no drug addiction history;

9) Transfer letter with attendance rate for those who already study in China;

10) Application fee payment voucher (RMB 400 or USD 60);

11) Transfer letter with class attendance for students who have been or are studying in other universities in China;

12) Statement of Financial Support (Bank statement to prove that the applicant has sufficient fund to afford his or her tuition, accommodation and living expenses in China);

13) Valid Foreigner Physical Examination Report.
