3 Steps to Apply to a Chinese University

1. Citizens of Laos, Vietnam, Russia, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan are in good health;

2. Educational and age requirements:

Applicants for a master's degree in China must hold a bachelor's degree and be under the age of 35;

Those who come to China to pursue a doctoral degree must have a master's degree and be under the age of 40.

Applicants under the age of 18 must submit relevant legal documents of their legal guardian in China.

Applicants are not allowed to enjoy other scholarships (excluding one-time scholarships) established by Chinese governments at all levels and admission institutions at the same time when applying. Once discovered, their application eligibility will be cancelled.

1. Completed application forms within the system (in Chinese or English);

2. Scanned copy of the front page of a regular passport. Personal passport must be valid beyond March 1, 2026;

3. Notarized highest education certificate and transcript. If the applicant is a current student, they must submit a proof of enrollment and pre graduation certificate issued by their school. Text other than Chinese and English must be accompanied by a notarized translation in Chinese or English;

4. Study or research plans in China. Written in Chinese or English, with no less than 1000 words for master's and doctoral students;

5. Two letters of recommendation. Applicants must provide two letters of recommendation, and the letter of recommendation for applying for a master's or doctoral degree must be provided by a professor or associate professor;

6. HSK certificate. Applicants for master's or doctoral degrees should provide a HSK Level 4 or higher certificate; 7. Copy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form and blood examination report. (The original document should be kept by oneself. This form is uniformly printed by the Chinese health and quarantine department and must be filled out in both Chinese and English.). The applicant shall carry out the examination in strict accordance with the items required in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. The Foreigner Physical Examination Form is invalid if there is no item, no photo of himself or herself, no perforation seal on the photo, and no signature and seal of the doctor and the hospital. 8. Certificate of no criminal record. The applicant must submit a valid certificate of no criminal record issued by the local public security organ, usually within 6 months before the date of application submission;

9. Personal electronic ID photo;

10. Personal introduction video. Within 5 minutes, provide a brief statement in Chinese or English about your academic background, study plan, personal strengths, and post graduation arrangements.
