Long-term Chinese Language Program (1 year, Spring Semester)

Founded in 1932, Guangxi Normal University is located in Guilin, a beautiful tourist city in China and was known for " mountain and ater of Guilin rank first in China". In addtion to Chinese Language, GXNU also offers management tourism, Chinese business, and a lot of one to one mandarin courses. Every year about 800 international students from United States, Japan, Korea, Europe and Southeast Asia such as Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, India, and even Pakistan like to study there. You will soon experience the beauty of Guangxi Normal University.

School Time

The spring semester will begin on Feb. 21st, 2011 and end on Jul. 8th, 2011.

Course Overview

The universityoffers flexible language courses. Enrollments are available in March and September during each academic year. Students can enroll in Elementary, Intermediate, or Advanced Courses according to their proficiency level of Chinese. Small classes or individual teaching are available upon request.

The universityoffers an excellent language learning environment. The required courses include Chinese Listening Comprehension, Intensive Reading, Extensive Reading, Spoken Chinese, Chinese Culture,

and HSK Training and so on. The elective courses include Chinese Traditional Painting, Chinese Brush Calligraphy and Shadowboxing.

Developing students' proficiency of Chinese is our aim. A lot of cultural and language practice activities are arranged during the semester, such as visiting places of interest in Guilin, visiting ethnic dwellings and watching ethnic dancing and singing.

3 Steps to Apply to a Chinese University

Well behaved, healthy, and willing to abide by the Law of the People's Republic of China and the Rules and Regulations of Guangxi Normal University.
Note: New students are given a placement test, both oral and written, at the beginning of a new semester, and they will be placed in classes according to their respective level.

With photo, passport number &expiration date and name included.
2.Passport-sized photo
A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.
3.Health Certificate
Photocopy of physical examination record.
