Introduction With remarkable expansion of the number of foreign students coming to the university, GDUT provides a wide range of Chinese language programs on various levels of learning and training on the main campus located in Dongfeng Road, in downtown Guangzhou. The teaching group consists of experienced and conscientious academic staffs. Students are expected to improve Chinese proficiency at the end of each program with a closer look into the tradition and custom, to communicate with native Chinese, and to obtain sufficient skills and knowledge in the areas of HSK Tests. In addition, special-designed course work tailored to the needs of certain students may also be provided and arranged. Course Aims To acquaint students with the essentials of Chinese language, including consonants, vowels, intonation, pronunciation, Chinese character writing, commonly used vocabulary and basic grammar. To develop student's ability in listening, speaking, writing and translating, and prepare students both linguistically and culturally for daily contact with Chinese people. To promote the ability to successfully pass the HSK Test.

The University comprises 19 faculties and schools, offering 65 bachelor's programs, 20 first-grade master's and doctoral programs, 19 doctoral programs, 64 master's programs (including MBA program), 17 engineering master degree programs, and 4 stations for post-doctoral research.The University has set up 14 provincial key disciplines, 1 key lab designated by Ministry of Education of China, 2 provincial key labs, 11 key labs designated by Guangdong Department of Education, 26 provincial key courses, 13 provincial name-brand specialties, 1 national and 17 provincial excellent courses, and 1 national and 10 provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers. 3 Steps to Apply to a Chinese University

Abide by the laws of China, and observe all regulations of the university;
In good health, and aged between 12 and 65, demonstrating an ability to pursue Chinese language studies successfully;
Have received junior high school certificate or the equivalent.

1.  Photocopy of valid passport
With photo, passport number &expiration date and name included.

2.  Passport-sized photo
A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.

3.  Certificate/Diploma of highest education
The certificate should be in English or Chinese, if not，it should be translated into English or Chinese and be notarized
