Foreign Students Get Together on Campus to Celebrate the 60th Anniversary

Tianjin Medical University was established 60 years ago and the International Medical School also celebrated its

15th birthday. Time flies and recollections bring forth a myriad of emotions. Up until this point, our university has

cultivated 657 international graduates and the pass-rate of our students' doctor’s license examinations has

reached 65-75%. Currently we have 1432 international students from 60 countries studying in our university, and

we rank number one among all the Western medical universities in China. In 2009, the “Establishment and

Practice of a Guarantee System of Quality and Teaching in English for Foreign Students in Clinical Medicine”

program of our university won the first prize in the National Teaching Achievements Awards.

 

 

Our international students enthusiastically participated in the celebration activities together with our Chinese staff

and students. They not only actively attended the Forum on Modern Medical Education and Frontier Sciences and

absorbed up-to-date educational and scientific knowledge and techniques, but also eagerly demonstrated their

love of our university in a variety of ways. Many students gave performances together with the Chinese students

to express their joy as students of TMU.
