One-year Acupuncture Course for English Speakers

Situated in the coastal city of Tianjin, Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is one of the earliest universities of TCM founded in China. 1st Semester (5 Months Theoretical):

Tuition: 12,000 RMB (3,400 RMB/Month)
Interpretation Fee: 4,500 RMB (900 RMB/Month)
Subtotal: 16,500 RMB

2nd Semester (1 Month Theoretical and 3 Months Clinical Practice):

Tuition: 16,000 RMB (3400 x 1 + 4200 x 3 = 16,000)
Interpretation Fee: 7,500 RMB (900 x 1 + 2200 x 3 = 7,500)
Subtotal: 23,500 RMB

Note:
Interpretation fee is only charged when the teacher gives lessons in English.
Certificate is confer on the student who have completed all courses of study.
Students could choose to be taught in Chinese and the university will arrange you to study with Chinese students together. Students need to choose courses by themselves and 32 RMB/class hour (50 minutes per class hour).

Established in 1958, Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TUTCM) is one of the earliest universities of TCM in China.  The University has an excellent learning environment with state of the art, a distinguished teaching faculty and staff of more than 3000 (including the two affiliated hospitals).  It is highly regarded and respected around the world.  TUTCM is divided into four areas of study: Medical, Science, Arts and Management.  The University offers 18 PhD programs, 27 masters programs, 16 undergraduate programs and one post-doctoral fellowship.  The Acupuncture & Moxibustion Science is a state-level Key program. At present time, there are over 7000 students enrolled in various programs in the University. 

All three affiliated teaching hospitals are ranked First Class and national drug clinic research center, together have more than 2,000 beds and 16 clinical teaching and research offices.  The First Teaching Hospital has been approved by the state as the largest Acupuncture & Moxibustion center in China, National Clinical Research Center of Acupuncture & Moxibustion and Provincial Demonstration Hospital of TCM.  The Second Teaching Hospital specializes in the Integration of TCM and Western Medicine, with treatment and research on Gynecology and Encephalopathy, and has a Research Center of TCM Rare Diseases.  The two teaching hospitals are well equipped with modern facilities and doctors possess great skill in techniques.  Both hospitals have excellent reputations and are trusted by the more than 6,000 out-patients whom they serve daily.  They are important bases for clinical practice and have strong clinical teaching capacity. 

The International University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (IUTCM), authorized by the State Education Committee of the People’s Republic of China, was established in 1992 in TUTCM, and has become the national center for foreign students in TCM education.  Each year there are over 1000 students from 20 countries /areas studying in the university.  IUTCM has established cooperation with universities, research and medical institutions from more than 30 countries and enjoys a high reputation.
