Fujian Medical University (FMU), founded in 1937, is one of the earliest public undergraduate medical colleges in China. It is a "double first-class" university in Fujian Province with a focus on medicine, coordinated development of multiple disciplines and a complete talent training system. It is jointly built by the Fujian Provincial People's Government and the National Health Commission. It is a health personnel training center, medical science research center and medical and health service center of Fujian Province, and its comprehensive strength is among the advanced ranks of similar medical colleges in China.
The university currently has two campuses in Qishan and Wushan, covering an area of about 1550 mu, with more than 14,700 teaching and medical staff (including affiliated hospitals) and more than 18,000 full-time students. There are 1,664 full-time teachers (including clinical teachers), of which 57.09% have a doctor's degree and 68.63% have senior professional titles. It has 53 national-level high-level talents and 2 "Nightingale" Medal winners; There are 4 state-level specialties and 11 state-level first-class undergraduate specialties. There are 6 first-level disciplines authorized for doctoral degree, 2 doctoral professional degree programs, 9 first-level disciplines authorized for master's degree programs, and 9 professional master's degree programs. The university has 4 affiliated hospitals, including Union Hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital, the second Affiliated Hospital and the Stomatological Hospital, and 7 clinical medical schools. The affiliated hospital has 21 national key clinical specialties such as neurology, hematology, cardiac vascular surgery, and general surgery. The Affiliated Union Medical College Hospital and the Affiliated First Hospital are the first batch of high-level hospitals to be built in Fujian Province, both of which have entered the "Top 100 Hospitals in China" list of Fudan University Hospital Management Institute.
Fujian Medical University (FMU) is one of the universities accredited by the Ministry of Education of China to enroll international students majoring in clinical medicine at undergraduate level (taught in English), and has officially enrolled students since September 2009. Students from more than 50 countries, including India, Bangladesh, Mauritius, Pakistan, Thailand, Kenya, Somalia, Iran, Zambia and the United States, have enrolled more than 700 international students.
Currently FMU has two campuses in Shangjie and Taijiang, with a total land area of about 87 hectares and a building area of 379,000 square meters. Apartment for International Students is in Shangjie Campus.

2) Senior high school graduates or with educational background at above level, or equivalent to that of a Chinese senior high school graduate or above, with results of B or above (more than 70 for a hundred-mark system); and
3) Applicant's level of proficiency in Chinese shall reach elementary C (Level 3) or above in HSK. High school graduates with Chinese as the main teaching language in all courses are free from HSK certificates.
