About Tianjin University of Technology


The College of International Education (CIE) at Tianjin University of Technology (TUT) is one of the first recommended Chinese language learning institutions by the Ministry of Education of China. It is established especially for recruiting international students who want to study abroad in China for TUT, offering programs in intensive Chinese language study (long-term, short-term, summer, winter courses) and degree programs in various fields of language, science, engineering, management, literature, art and law.

Apart from the courses for the Chinese language programs and degree programs, international students may also choose to take elective courses, such as Kung Fu / Wu Shu (Chinese martial arts), Chinese cooking, Chinese painting, Chinese calligraphy, traditional Chinese musical instrument playing, Chinese folk arts (paper cutting, carving), Beijing opera, etc., and take rewarding tours throughout China to experience the unique Chinese culture. So far, international students from more than 40 countries have come to study at TUT and we have productive cooperation with universities and educational institutions in many countries.

Both SICAS and the College of International Education (CIE) will assist you in application, admission, visa documents, registration, course selection, accommodation, and residence formalities in China.

ENROLL IN CHINA

Entry Requirements

1.18 to 60 years of age
2.International Applicants should be an HSK 3 holder. Those without a HSK certificate should come and take an entrance examination of Comprehensive Chinese one week before the new semester begins. Those who fail the entrance exam may take the Chinese course before they retake the Exam.

Application Materials

1.Photocopy of valid passport
With photo, passport number &expiration date and name included.

2.Passport-sized photo
A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.

3.Graduation certificate of high school
Graduation certificate should be in Chinese or English.If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized.

4.Academic transcript of high school

5.HSK Certificate (No need for English-taught program)
Certificate of HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test)

6.Two recommendation letters(optional)
From professor,associate professor or equivalents.

7.Personal Statement
Personal Statement with the applicant's signature, written in Chinese or in English. You can download a template or sample from here.
