About Dalian Medical University (DMU)

Dalian Medical University (DMU) was founded in 1947 and is the oldest formal medical college in the northeast of China. It was formerly known as Guandong Medical College but was changed to its current name when the People's Republic of China was founded. DMU was formally opened on May 4, 1947, with 203 students.

DMU is a multi-disciplinary medical university and one of the largest medical universities in China. It is also a popular education hub for international students who want to take an MBBS. DMU has more than a thousand overseas students from 82 different countries studying different degree programs. 

DMU was one of the first few universities in China that offered the MBBS degree. Its medical degree is recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) and many medical authorities in foreign countries. DMU is the national demonstration base of international students by the Ministry of Education. It is also one of the first batches of 30 universities that were allowed to offer English-based courses in MBBS, Oral Medicine, Nursing and more. Besides medical degrees, DMU offers programs in other fields like science, engineering, management, arts, law, and philosophy.

Regulations for Foreign Student' s Dormitory

1. Please do check-in according to the allotted room. No room exchange is allowed yourself. Any requests, contact the warden.

2. No shouting in the dormitory. The sound of TV and Hi-Fi must be appropriate so others can have their privacy.

3. Do Not use electrical applicances with heavy voltage in the room for it will overload the circuit. No cooking and using heater in the room.

4. Keep personal property appropriately and safety in the Dormitory.

Do not leave great amount of cash in the room. Do Not lend the key to anybody.

5. No smoking, No buring, No dringking, No fighting in the room or in the dormitory.

6. Collect garbage in time, and put it into the bin outside of the dormitory. No littering. No throwing out of the window.

7. Do not remove or damage any public facility in Dormitory. Ig something is damaged, destroyed or smoked, an appropriate fine would be assessed. The warden has the right to check the rooms.

8. No animal feeding in the Dormitory.

9. Chinese students and visitors are Not allowed o enter into the dormitory.

10. No water and electricity should ba wasted. Switch off the tap and electricity if not in use, shut the windows and lock the door when you leave.

11. Students have to come back to Dormitory before 11:00 at night. If you have some special event, report to your teacher in-charge in advance, and register at warden' s office.

12. Register the passport or student ID card at warder's room when visiting other dormitory.

3 Steps to Apply to a Chinese University

1. The applicant should be between 18-25 years old, healthy.

2. Completed the senior high school course with good marks.

3. Has solid financial support to afford the study and living expenses in China.

4. Chemistry, physics, biology, English are compulsory subjects, maths is a reference subject for admission evaluation.

1.Photocopy of the passport

The passport must have an expiry date after September of the year you apply, if the validity of the applicant's current passport does not meet the requirement, please apply for a new passport before submitting the application.

2.Passport-sized photo

A passport-sized photo taken recently of the applicant.

3. Graduation certificate of high school(Both Chinese Version and English Version)

4. Academic transcript of high school(Both Chinese Version and English Version)

5. Photocopy of 1st page to 8th page of your valid passport (Liaoning)
With photo, passport number & expiration date and name included.
For the regarding authority must make sure that there are at least two pages on the passport for the Chinese Embassy to stick the Visa paper and Immigration to stick the resident permit paper.

6. Photocopy of Physical Examination Record.

Applicants should strictly check the items in accordance with the requirements of Physical Examination Record.pdf Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending doctor, the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. The date shall be after October 1, 2023. The original piece is required during registration.

7. Self-introduction video

Applicants are required to upload a video of self-introduction within one minute, and those who have HSK certificates must use Chinese to introduce themselves.
