Program Description

DMU is recognized by WHO and the graduates of MBBS program are eligible to take the Medical Licensing Examinations held by the medical councils in different countries such as MCI, PMDC, USMLE, HPCSA, SCHS etc.

This program is available for both English and Japanese Medium.

Teaching Objectives

The course aims to educate students to study basic theory and elementary knowledge in medicine, gain basic clinical skills of some common diseases diagnosis processing, have the primary treatment ability to urgent, difficult and severe symptoms, and be qualified for careers in hospitals, the medical and health units, medical science research departments as well as other organizations related medicine.

Study Duration

6 years (including 1-year Clinical Practice)

Internship

The 6 years including 1 to 1.5 years compulsory internship. The internship can be finished in Chinese hospitals or in hospitals of your own country.

Degree Awarded

On completing the requirements of the teaching program and passing the graduation examinations successfully, international medical undergraduates will be granted a graduation certificate and conferred a medical degree by Dalian Medical University, if they meet the degree regulations of Dalian Medical University. The English copy of the degree will state MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery).

Career

After obtaining MBBS Degree, the graduates can apply to take the medical licensing examination in the medical council in order to get registered and practice medicine. According to the regulations in different countries, the students may need to do the degree accreditation first. A MBBS degree holder can find jobs in government as well as private hospitals, nursing homes and other health facilities. Except this, one can also start his own clinic or pursue study for master's degree.

Entry Requirements

1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport.

2. Between 18-25 years old

3. Mental and physical healthy

4. Has completed the senior high school course with good marks

5. Has solid financial support to afford the study and living expenses in China.

*Note: Chemistry, Physica, Biology and English are complusary subjects, Mathematics is a reference subject for admission evaluation.

Application Materials

1. Passport-sized photo

Two recent passport-sized photos of the applicant.

2. Graduation certificate of high school

Graduation certificate should be in Chinese or English. If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized.

3. Academic transcript of high school

Transcript should be in Chinese or English. If not, it should be translated into Chinese or English and be notarized.

4. Health certificate

Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Record.(Click here to download)

5. Photocopy of 1st page to 8th page of valid passport

With photo, passport number & expiration date and name included.

For the regarding authority must make sure that there are at least two pages on the passport for the Chinese Embassy to stick the Visa paper and Immigration to stick the resident permit paper.

6. Bank statement

Normally the balance is enough for your first year tuition fee and accommodation fee.

7. No Criminal Certificate

*Note: Although the course is taught in English, all students are expected to meet HSK 4 (Chinese Language Test) as the minimal requirement for graduation.
