China Medical University (CMU) is the first medical university founded by the Communist Party of China. Introduction: Dentistry education of China Medical University was started in 1948. In 1979, dentistry program was established and the dentistry department was founded in 1985. Then in 1988, it developed into the School of Dentistry and Oral Health. The dentistry program of CMU is the first-level characteristic discipline of Liaoning province, the pilot program of college comprehensive reform of Liaoning province. The Stomatology Teaching Center is the model center of Liaoning provincial experimental teaching as well as the clinical skills training center for the college students in Liaoning province. Periodontics and oral and maxillofacial surgery are the key clinical specialized subject construction projects of national Health Development Planning Commission. It passed the stomatology accreditation organized by Ministry of Education on December, 2014 and ranked No. 9 in the evaluation of Ministry of Education on colleges’ stomatology program in the whole country on 2022.

History
China Medical University (CMU) was the first medical school established by the Chinese Communist Party. Its precursor was the Chinese Workers'-Peasants' Red Army Military Medical School and Chinese Workers'-Peasants' Red Army Health School founded in Ruijin city, Jiangxi province in 1931. After the Long March with the red army, it moved to Shan-bei. In 1940, proposed by comrade Mao Ze-dong and approved by the central committee of Chinese Communist Party, the name of the school was changed to China Medical University. In July, 1946 the university was ordered to enter north-east China with the army and reached Xin-shan city(now He-gang city),Hei-long-jiang province. In November,1948 the whole north-east China was liberated and the university was ordered to move to Shenyang. It merged the former national Shenyang Medical College founded in 1911 and the former private Liaoning Medical College founded in 1892 (both in Shenyang city). China Medical University is directly affiliated to Education of Ministry, School management system in 2000 into a central and local governments to build, to the Liaoning Provincial People's Government management.
Over 70,000 senior specialized medical personnel have been educated by CMU since its establishment. Its graduates are all over China and some countries and regions of the world. It nurtured so many famous medical experts and leaders of national health administration and education.
Facilities
CMU now has 27 colleges, faculties and sections, 52 disciplines(specialties) were authorized to grant doctor degrees and 64 were authorized to grant master degrees; 13 specialties for undergraduates and 10 specialties for higher professional techniques; one affiliated health school; a center for Japanese language training and a center for rural doctors training (both directly under the Ministry of Health); 2 national key laboratories and 3 (health) ministerial laboratories;1 national clinical study base for drug development and 1 national laboratory for research of traditional Chinese medicines; 4 post-doctoral mobile stations; 27 provincial key disciplines and so on. There are 6469 beds in CMU's 3 affiliated comprehensive hospitals and one specialty hospital.
Teachers & Students
The total staff of CMU now is 11225, and 80% are professionals of different specialties. Among them are: one academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, 562 professors, 827associate professors, 362 tutors for doctoral and 924 tutors for masters students. 2 are members of evaluation group of academic degree committee of the state council, 15 are chairman or vice-chairman of national academic societies. Among young and middle-aged teachers 16 have been granted national young talents or other funds, 86 were chosen for provincial training plan for outstanding personnel, 38 were named as provincial young leaders of discipline or distinguishing key teachers.
The total number of registered students is now 13634, among them are 1028 doctoral postgraduates, 3349 masters students, 8263 undergraduates, 454are from foreign countries and Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan.
Location & Resources
CMU occupies a total land area of 549,000 square meters with 629,000 sq.m of building area. The library with its more than 1100,000 volumes of collection is the northeast regional center of National Medical Literature Resources Sharing Network of the Ministry of Health, northeast knot of China Medical Information Network, a national health science and technology referee unit for checking novelty. The laboratory animal center of CMU is also the provincial centers of laboratory animals and their quality control, breeds 23 species and strains of experimental animals for teaching and research.
International Cooperation
So far CMU has established good exchange and co-operation relations with 45 universities, institutes and institutions in Japan, USA, UK, France, Russia, Korea and Canada etc. 195 internationally famous scientists have been conferred honorary titles of CMU, 4373 teachers have been sent abroad for research or advanced training. 51 international co-operative projects have been conducted recently.
CMU have two dormitory buildings for international students on campus. Students will live in single rooms attached with bathroom and other necessary facilities. There are coin-operated washing machines in the dormitory building. There is also a public kitchen on each floor in the dorms. Students can cook the traditional food by themselves.
For students who enter the clinical course learning stage, they will study in the school’s affiliated hospital, the school will no longer provide dormitories, students need to move off campus to rent their own house if there is no enough dorm provided.

Documentary requirements
1. Scanned copy of the passport (photo page, the latest exit/entrance record visa page, two blank visa pages).
2. Senior high school transcripts and graduation diploma (Students expecting to graduate should provide an official letter stating the expected graduation date, and submit the graduation diploma if admitted), which should be the original documents or certified copies in Chinese or English (Applicants from India should also provide the transcripts from 12th semester).
3. For the applicants of English-taught programs, Chinese language proficiency is not required when they apply, but the applicants must have HSK level 4 or above before internship. Applicants whose native/official language is not English should submit the IELTS /TOFEL result or other certificate to certify their English level. The result should be above 85(New TOFEL) or 6.0(IELTS).

5. For applicants whose age is under 18 and parents are not resident in China, their parents must formally entrust a foreigner or Chinese resident in China as the guardian of the applicants and provide relevant entrusted materials.
For the current applicants in China, the following documents are also required to submit in addition to the ones mentioned above:
(1) residence permit page;
(2) transfer certificate/no objection certificate/graduation certificate;
(3) transcripts from the previous school;
(4) registration form of temporary residence for Visitors from Overseas;
(5) foreigner Physical Examination Form.
6. If the applicant was originally a Chinese citizen but later joined a foreign nationality, he/she must provide (1) a certificate of withdrawal of Chinese nationality; (2) a certificate of cancellation of Chinese household registration; (3) a certificate of joining a foreign nationality; and (4) a record of entry and exit from the country during the period from April 30, 2020 to April 30, 2024.
7. For applicants who were born in a foreign country and have acquired foreign nationality, if both or one of the parents are Chinese citizens, the applicant must provide (1) the applicant's birth certificate; (2) proof of nationality of the applicant's parents (the Chinese citizen side); and (3) the applicant's entry and exit records between April 30, 2020 and April 30, 2024.
