About Qingdao University

Qingdao University located in Qingdao, China was founded in 1901 and is the second national university established in the country, created soon after Jingshi University (the Metropolitan University).

Qingdao University consists of 26 schools/colleges and a graduate school. Courses are offered in 11 main academic disciplines: philosophy, economics, law, literature, history, natural sciences, engineering, management, medicine, education, and military. There are 104 undergraduate degree programs, 209 masters degree programs, 127 doctoral degree programs, and 15 post-doctorate mobile stations. In addition, there are 7 professional master's degree programs in law, business management, engineering, clinical medicine, public health, dentistry and public administration respectively.

Qingdao University has about 95,000 students of which 40,978 are full time students, 10,755 are postgraduate students, and over 1,000 are international students. Since 1980, Qingdao University has received over 10,000 students from more than 60 countries. The university also has a group of reputed scholars known at home and abroad, of which 900 are professors. There are 23 academicians (including adjunct academicians) who are members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

Now the wheel of history has steered into the 21st century and the new millennium. A new era of reform and development has begun. QU also faces unprecedented new challenges and opportunities.

At present, Qingdao University has three accommodation buildings specially provided for international students. They are the Mingxin Building (Mingxin Lou), buildings No.13 (Haoyuan N0.13 Lou), and New building (Xin Lou).

ENROLL IN CHINA

Entry Requirements

1.  Aged 18 to 60 years old;
2.  Be in good health condition
3.  Master's degree graduated or equivalent (or above);
4.  HSK level 6 or  above
5.  Pass the entrance examination

Application Materials

1.  Certificate of HSK
Band 6 or above.

2.  Photocopy of valid passport
With name, passport number & expiration date, and photo included

3.  Passport photo
A recent passport-sized photo of the applicant

4.  Postgraduate school transcript
Both in English and Chinese

5.  Master's degree diploma
Graduation certificate in both English and Chinese and be certified by notarization.

6.  Letter of recommendation
From professor or associate professor or equivalents

7.  Certificate of employment
Applicants who have a job should provide certificate of employment, no need for applicants who haven't work. Certificate should be written both in English and Chinese.
