By Taxi
It will save more time if you travel to the airport by taxi. Usually, the bargain fare between Xian city center and XIY
is around CNY100-CNY120. However, the taxi return to Xian City from XIY frequently involves price gouging,
especially for people who are here for the first time.
SICAS Reminder:
1. Please follow the indicators in the airport to the taxi parking lot and take the taxi in green which is the best
choice for a budget trip.
2. Most of the drivers refuse to charge by meter; therefore, you should bargain a reasonable price with them.
3. Alternatively, carpooling, which is preferred by drivers, is an economical way for travelers, too. The fare is
around CNY60-CNY70 per person.

Bus
The city's bus system is considered one of the least adequate systems in Shaanxi Province. Most buses tend to be
extremely crowded especially during rush hours and weekends. When traveling by bus, you are encouraged to carry small
change or RMB 1 bills because buses usually do not operate with a conductor.Fares range from RMB 1 for non-a/c and
RMB 2 for a/c (prefixed with the letter K).People are encouraged to have exact change ready before boarding the bus
because drivers tend to be a little impatient.
Bicycle
Riding around the ancient city may be an attractive method. This way, you are able to find more profiles of the locals' daily
life because you can get into every corner of this city easily. In the downtown area, the wide roads are flat for cycling but
cyclists still have to be careful of the fast-speed city-buses, taxis and sedans.
SICAS Reminder:
In any case, please keep riding on the right!
